How to Organize Saved Instagram Reels

Recipes, workouts, outfit inspiration, home decor — Reels are easy to save and easy to lose track of. Here's what Instagram gives you to work with, and where it runs out.

What Instagram Collections do well

Instagram's Collections are genuinely useful — real named folders, the option to save straight into one or move things in later, and you can even invite someone else to add to a shared Collection with you.

The catch

  • Collections only exist inside Instagram — they have nothing to do with whatever you've saved from TikTok, YouTube or Facebook.
  • There's no way to search by keyword across your saves — you're still scrolling folder by folder.
  • Once a Collection gets genuinely large, it can get slow and cumbersome to scroll through looking for one specific post.

A simpler way to keep it organized

Paste any Reel link into MediaGenie and it saves the title and thumbnail automatically. Sort it into a folder, tag it, favourite it — and search across everything you've saved, from every platform, whenever you need it again. Your Instagram saves sit right alongside your TikTok and YouTube ones instead of being stuck in their own separate app.

One library. Every platform.
