MediaGenie is operated by Samantha Deans, an individual sole trader based in Portugal. When you use MediaGenie or subscribe to MediaGenie Pro, you're entering into an agreement with Samantha Deans, trading as MediaGenie. You can reach us at info@geniesuite.pro.

1. Who we are

Samantha Deans, an individual sole trader based in Portugal, trading as MediaGenie, is the data controller responsible for your personal data when you use this service. You can contact us at info@geniesuite.pro.

2. Personal data we collect

Account data: your email address.
Library data: the video URLs you save, plus any folders, tags and notes you add.
Guest data: if you use MediaGenie without an account, your saves live in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers until you sign up.
Support data: messages you send us and any information you include in them.
Usage and device data: basic, mostly anonymised analytics used to keep the service secure and to improve it.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle. We never see or store your card information.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

To provide the service — performance of our contract with you.
To handle Pro subscriptions — performance of our contract.
To keep the service secure — our legitimate interests.
To improve the product — our legitimate interests, or your consent where required.
To answer support requests — our legitimate interests.
To comply with the law — legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with:

Supabase — hosting, database and authentication.
Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record for payments. See Paddle's privacy notice.
Professional advisers — accountants and legal advisers, where needed.
Authorities — where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and library data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email info@geniesuite.pro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices to protect your data.
