1. Who you're contracting with
MediaGenie is operated by Samantha Deans, an individual sole trader based in Portugal ("we", "us", "our"). When you use MediaGenie or subscribe to MediaGenie Pro, you're entering into an agreement with Samantha Deans, trading as MediaGenie. You can reach us at info@geniesuite.pro.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or otherwise using MediaGenie you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use MediaGenie.
3. The service
MediaGenie is a personal tool for saving and organising links to publicly available videos. We don't host, mirror or redistribute the underlying video content — that remains with the original platform and its creators. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.
4. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't use MediaGenie to store links to illegal, infringing or harmful content.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, probe or otherwise abuse the service or its infrastructure.
- Don't use MediaGenie to send spam, malware or to commit fraud.
- Respect the terms of the source platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and so on).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies.
6. Intellectual property
MediaGenie — including the software, design, branding and documentation — is owned by Samantha Deans and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan. You don't acquire any ownership of the service itself.
7. Payments, billing and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
This means payment, billing, tax, currency conversion, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics for MediaGenie Pro are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund window and how to request a refund are described in our Refund Policy (14-day money-back guarantee).
Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly or yearly basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your current billing period.
8. Plan limits and downgrades
The free plan includes up to 100 saved videos with full access to every feature — folders, favourites, tags, sharing, copying and editing. MediaGenie Pro removes the 100-save limit. If you cancel Pro (or your Pro subscription ends) while your library contains more than 100 saves, none of your saves are deleted. The 100 most recent saves remain fully active under the free plan; the remaining saves become read-only. Read-only means you can still open the original video and delete the save, but you cannot copy the link, add new saves, edit titles, descriptions or tags, move saves between folders, share, or change favourites. As soon as your total drops to 100 or fewer, all features unlock automatically with no waiting period. By subscribing to Pro you confirm you understand and accept this behaviour.

9. User content
You keep ownership of the links, folders, tags and notes you save. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediaGenie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses — including loss of profits, data or goodwill — arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that can't be excluded under Portuguese law.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. On termination, your library data may be deleted after a short export window. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Portugal have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
13. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
